Job Duties: The Development Associate is a key member of the Foundation team responsible for raising over $8 million in private contributions annually. The Development Associate handles administrative details associated with support group meetings and affiliated special events; assists special events staff with planning and logistics; manages support group benefit fulfillment; schedules appointments for senior staff and board members; assists with donor recognition; maintains database records; conducts prospect research and prepares profiles; helps prepare proposals and reports; assists in conducting campus tours and serving as a ambassador to the community; and performs other duties as required.
Qualifications, Education and Experience: The ability to work effectively with a wide range of people; strong organizational skills; exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal talents; solid computer skills in Microsoft Suite and Raisers Edge (or comparable fundraising database); Bachelors degree required; experience working in a nonprofit, educational or arts organization environment preferred.
Salary/Benefits: Work year 225 days; salary range $40,764-$50,909; employer paid health, vision and dental plans and State Retirement Plan CalPers.
